Abhishekam to Ram Parivar

Abhishekam is performed to Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman with the Sankalpam of successful installation and consecration of the deities Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth kshetra of Ayodhya.

Importance of Ram Parivar

Rama Parivar or Ram Darbar is believed to be a symbolic representation of ourselves. Our body consists of the body, the mind, the intelligence, and the Atma or soul. Except for the Atma, the first three are easily seen and recognizable. The Atma or the soul (the divine spark in us) can only be inferred.

Lord Ram is treated as the Paramatma or the sacred Soul. Lord Lakshman represents the Sharira or the body. Mother Sita represents the Chitta or the intellect. Lord Hanuman represents the Buddhi or the Mind. Lord Bharat is the epitome of Dharma and Lord Shatrughna represents Karma.

Srirangam & Shri Ram

Sri Ranganatha Swamy, the presiding Deity of Srirangam Kshetra, in Tamil Nadu is the Kula Devata of Ikshvaku Dynasty and Lord Shri Ram. This temple is the 2nd largest temple in Asia and biggest temple in Bharat currently.

South India has always had connection with North India.
