Importance of Skanda Shashthi | Margasheersha Shukla Shashthi

Skanda Shashthi or Margasheersha Shukla Shashthi is a very important Celebration for the followers of Lord Kartikeya across India. Shashthi Thithi is dedicated to Lord Subrahmanya or Skanda, who is also called Murugan in South India. Skanda Shashthi is celebrated as Champa Shashti in Maharashtra.

Champa Shashthi occurring with Shatabhisha Nakshatram and Vaidhriti Yoga either on Sunday or on Tuesday, is considered very auspicious.
